The Dodgers… from Brooklyn to Los Angeles: A Tale of Two Cities 1/10/19

Prodigal daughter, Linda Wilson, returns. We spoke of Casey Stengel being traded for Pittsburgh’s Burleigh Grimes on this date in 1918. We discussed Grimes’ tipping his spitball until ‘fixed’ by the Dodger Batboy, explaining his tight cap gave away the pitch by wiggling as Grimes tensed his facial muscles. We went on to talk about the possibilities of the L.A. club securing Cleveland’s Corey Kluber (and what players we would be comfortable with trading for same).
