Peter, Ron and Robert played ‘what if,?’ concerning the Dodgers’ seasons of 1942, 1946, 1950 and 1951. We also played ‘what if?’ regarding Leo Durocher not getting suspended, and managing Jackie Robinson during the ’47 season. We talked about how Durocher begged Mr. Rickey to call up Robinson from Montreal in the latter part of the 1946 season. Talked about baseball’s first statistician, Allan Roth and how that played into Dixie Walker getting traded and¬†Jackie batting cleanup. We then spoke of the LA club and both Machado & Harper.¬†
