The book I’m writing with George Grimm is complete. Here are our acknowledgements to those who were instrumental in making it happen.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

The authors would like to thank David Hubler for his editing expertise and Noel Hynd for preparing the book for publication.

George Grimm:

I’d like to start by thanking my late parents, Grace and George Grimm for instilling in me the joy of reading and the value of books. I’m also very grateful to Dr. Andrew Prince for getting me through my latest round of glaucoma related vision problems. This project required me to spend many hours at my desk, wearing headphones, listening to podcasts. And even though she was probably glad to get me out of her hair for those hours, I want to thank my wife, Theresa, for giving me the time and space I needed to work on the book. I’m also grateful to all of Ralph’s co-hosts and guests for having such interesting stories to tell. They held my interest and made a tedious task more enjoyable. And finally I want to thank Ralph Zig Tyko for tabbing me for this project. I learned a lot, laughed a lot and made a new friend. You can’t beat that.

Ralph Zig Tyko

There are three words that describe how well George Grimm and I play [never work, on my part] together. “WE HAVE FUN!!” Thank you, sir.

Ms. Strocker, a terrific English teacher at Newtown High School, taught me to memorize, analyze, and recite poems [Richard Corey and Invictus]] in front of the class. My ideology was formed, and my communication skills were developed. I can’t thank this woman enough. Elizabeth Ann Youngberg and the late, Margaret [Maggie to me] Wolfson Nearing, helped get me in front of Sy Berger with Topps Baseball Cards. I spent much of the 1980s and ’90s as the West Coast Representative, covering the California and the Northwest Leagues. Thanks to a letter of introduction that Sy wrote, I was NEVER “big leagued.” During those years, the late Diane Satin gave me a son, Phillip Tyko. What a terrific gift!! My dear friend, Suzy Vincent, led me to podcasting. Those that were instrumental in helping me form the CZRN include, Tony De Angelo [my gawdfather] Wayne Unger, Ron Rabinovitz, Marty Rose, Mark Littell, Mark Addleman [a technical genius], Peter Trunk, Alan Blumkin, Heshie Bock, George Case, and Peter Golenbock. Tony Camin helped me design the book cover. Finally, Talie Olson, the love of my life, softened my heart.
