The Yankees in The Zone 5/12/22
Robert Deininger and Jack Degraw discuss the Yankees hot start to the season. Albeit, their offense did take awhile to get going, but now they own the best record in baseball at 22-8 (Home 14-4, Road 8-4) with a run differential of +52. We also discuss their starting pitching which has been dominating, but you wouldn’t know it by their win-loss record. Nestor Cortez (1-1) has a 1.41 ERA, Gerrit Cole (2-0) 2.67, Jordan Montgomery (0-1) 2.90, Luis Severino (2-0) 4.08, and Jameson (3-1) 2.93, and their bullpen continues to be one of the best in baseball. We also touch on the offense which is led by Aaron Judge who’s do to be a free-agent after the season. Other players contributing to the offensive output include Giancarlo Stanton, DJ LeMahieu, Anthony Rizzo, and even Gleyber Torres.
